Isolated in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, southwest of the continental United States, Hawaii is the newest of the 50 U.S. states and is the only state made up entirely of islands or archipelago known as the Hawaiian Islands.

Although Hawaii has a population of about 1.3 million, over 90% of the population is located on Oahu, what could be considered the main island due to it being home to the state capital, Honolulu. The eight primary islands that make up the Hawaiian islands include (from northwest to southeast) Ni’ihau, Kaua’i, O’ahu, Moloka’i, Lana’i, Kaho’olawe, Maui, and Hawaii (also referred to as the Big Island).

Many people love Hawaii for its pleasant atmosphere and comfortable climate, with summer highs ranging around the upper 80s ? and winter highs ranging around the low 80s ?

Although one of the more popular tourist destinations in Hawaii is Waikiki, which is home to numerous famous hotels and beaches, all of the islands offer great dining, shopping, and entertainment attractions. Although it may seem that Hawaii is too isolated to be up to date with the rest of the world, Hawaii offers all the modern amenities of life, will preserving many of the unique local traditions of Hawaiian culture.
